Although the dates are more
than a year away, that’s the
Terrace-Kitimat Airshow
Society’s plan for its 1996 air-
show here.

The socicty held its annual gen-
cral meeting last week and presi-
dent Dave Parker says they’re in
good shape for next year.

The wildly successful inaugural
airshow last year paid off all its
debis — including the $7,500
sced money grant — and has
emerged with a $9,000 surplus.

They’ve also carmarked money
for two $500 aviation scholar-
ships in Kitimat and Terrace.

Parker says they have many
recominendations on how to
make the show better next time,

‘We hope to have as goad a
show if not even a better show
than we had in 1994," Parker
said,

The Snowbirds will be in Prince
Rupert for a show on July 19, he

also called Terrace and offered a
performance here two days later.
“We thanked them for the op-
portunity but declined,?? Parker
said. ‘We didn’t want to detract
from our neighbours’ program.”?
