team is given a pair of 2x4’s with
four foot-straps and some ropes

slide one foot into each strap,
hang on to.the rope, and “‘at-
tempt’’ to move down the desig-

taining a certain level of dignity.

General Hospital Burn Unit is
the recipient of the prize money.
The Slab Race may not feature
the prowess of Loggers’ Sports,
but as.a Fall Fair event it’s a
winner. Next year, though, it
may be wise to throw in a few
more rules... just for the politi-
cians. —
