THE CORPORATION OF THR CITY OF poRT COQUIT! BYLAW NO. 2666 A Bylaw to Regulate the Removal of Soil from Land in the City. The Mumicipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open neeting assembled, enacts a& follows: Definitions 1. In this bylaw: "City Engineer" means the City Engineer and the Deputy City Engineer appointed by Council. "Removal” includes the extraction, relocation or movement of soil from land. "Soii" includes earth, aand, gravel, rock, and other substances of which land is composed. Application 2, This bylaw applies to all land within the City of Port Coquitlam except ‘land designated as agricultural land reserve pursuant to the Agricultural Land Commission Act. Prohibitions 3, No person shall cause or permit the removal of soil from any land except in accordance with this bylaw and except in strict compliance with the terms and conditions of any permit. issued pursuant to this bylaw. Permit Exemptions 4, No permit for the removal of soil is required: (a) where the soil is removed from any land within the City by any florist, nurseryman or farmer for use on the same parcel of land from which the soil was removed for the purpose of a bona fide business as a florist, nourseryman oF farmer, provided that a0 soil shall be removed below the established grade of any highway that abuts the land from which the soil is removed, or the established highway from which access is provided to the land; where the removal is required in the construction, improvement , repair or maintenance of public works undertaken by a government; OF where the volume of soil removed from a parcel within any one year period does not exceed 50 cubic metres. aidey fore ; BR A " at ea ant ge
