BACKGROUND =: ‘The subject Rezoning 43/90 received third reading on February 25, 1991; Development Permit Application 44/90 was authorized by Council on October 15, 1990. Under the provisions of the Development Procedures Bylaw, the project "shall not be considered for (final) adoption” unless Council extends the time for consideration of adoption. The applicant has sent the attached letter indicating that it is their intention to preceed with this project very soon and requesting an extension. DISCUSSION s The subject project is still current in that it fully complies with the Development Permit guidelines and zoning designations for this area. The property went through a change in ownership and the new owners expect to proceed in the near future. The owners have requested an extension on the Development Permit to July 1992 but our recommendation is to give them a one year extension as the Planning Department thinks that a six month extension is a little unrealistic.
