Lot “C", Plan 18416, Lot "D", Flan 18418, that portion of Lot 2, Plan 11427, and ot i73, Flan 46170 identified “To Be Zoned C-2" on the plan attached to this Bylaw as "Schedule A”, the portion of lane located between Lot “C", Plan 108418 and Lot 173, Plan 46170, all in District Lot 380, Group One, New Westminster District, from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to C-2 (Neighbourhood Commercial). The property is located at 3210, 3216, 3220 Westwood Street; 2765 Davies Avenue; and 3225 Fox Street and would permit the development of the property for commercial, townhouse and anartment uses. Letters were received from the following people: S. Osberg, 3156 Raleigh Street, opposing high density townhouses in a congested area that has only one park and inadequate school facilities to accommodate the increase. A 25 name petition was received opposing the proposed amendments because of the additional traffic problems it will create and the decrease in resale value of their property. A 24 name petition was received opposing the proposed amendments. The following persons spoke regarding the proposed zoning amendment: M. Nicholl, 3239 Fox Street, submitted a letter opposing the townhouse development, would like to see the area remain Single Family. Also mentioned concerns with traffic in the area and the additional problems that will be created by such a large number of people coming to the area. W. Costinak, 2739 Davies Street, submitted a petition and voiced concern regarding traffic and parking problems in the area. Concern was also expressed as to how many trees would remain. A. Briggs, 2731 Davies Street, opposing the proposed development siting concerns with traffic and parking in the area also concerns that the development would decrease the value of their property. L. Kennedy, 3176 Raleigh Street, opposed to th sroposed development concerns expressed with regard to traffic and parking in the area. Also concerned with the drying up of Maple Creek. B. Regan, 3148 Lancaster Place, submitted a petition opposing the proposed development, would like to see the area remain single family. R. Adams, 3230 Westwood Avenue, in favor of the proposed rezoning. S. Neff, 3270 Fox Street, opposed to the proposed development because of increased traffic and the existing parking problems, also opposed to the removal of trees from the area. Would like to see the area remain single family.
