Brown Director of Community Planning Development Variance Permit No. 5/87 South end of Yarmouth RECOMMENDATION: That City Council authorize the Clerk's Office to inform neighbours about this apoltication and to place a resolution on a Council Agenda approving relaxation of The. Zoning Bylaw No. 2240, Section 601, Sub section (1) Subdivision Design and Layout, permitting relaxation of the minimum width of RS-1 lots backing onto Guest Street from 15 metres to 12 metres, COMMENTS: This application is to vary the side yard requirements of the RS-1 Lerge Lot Residential Zoning District to permit subdivision of several deep narrow lots. These lots are larger than the 500 metre square minimum tot size, but do not have the minimum 15 metre lot width. This application Is to relax the minimum lot width requirement. The rationale for this application is to remove the necessity to construct Guest Street for access to several lots at the South-east corner of the property. The proposal is to incorporate the lower lots into lots above them and to attempt To make up part of the difference by reducing lot width. FILE: -D-0004~0011
