Alderman Traboulay commented that as yet there have been no charges laid under the By-law and he referred to a specific area of the City where there has apparently been a considerable amount of 'playful damage' caused by a certain group of youth who habitually congregate thereat after the curfew; however, Inspector Young stated he felt a charge for this type of offence was not one that could be laid under the Curfew By-law. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the "City of Port Coquitlam Curfew By-iaw, 1975, No. 1382" be continued by the City of Port Coquitlam together with regular reviews thereof as have previously taken place. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, a brief discussion ensued and the City Clerk was requested te prepare a resume of the statistical information supplied by Inspector Young for use by Alderman Laking at the forthcoming U.B.C.M. Convention in support of a proposal that the fine in the By~law be increased from $5.00 to $50.00. It was also agreed that the By-law be reviewed again next June, and that the question of including 16-year olds thereunder be considered in the next short while. Traboulay tions Ass'n. gave notice that he intended to present a resolution to Council at this time to the effect that the City of Port Coquitlam not participate in the Accredited Labour Relations Association currently being furmed by the Greater Vancouver Regional District. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the question of whether or not the City of Port Coquitlam should participate in the Accredited Labour Relations Association currently being formed by the Greater Vancouver Regional District be left on the table pending a full discussion thereof with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 498.
