Item 1 ~ Core and Prevention of Athletic Injuries

Presently the Port Coquitlam Recreation Department and the Port Coquitlam

Adult Education Department are co-sponsoring a "Prevention and care of

Athletic injuries Course". Basically the course covers the responsibility

of a Coach who must act as a trainer, the differences between truining and

first aid, and finally a recognition and treatment of injuries. .
By taking such a course, the Coaches would be able to recognize what type

of injury a player has and what to doe

Recommendation:

1. To encourage all Athletic Coaches to enroll in a course for "Prevention

and care of Athletic injuries".
