Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: NATIONAL PACKAGING PROTOCOL (NAPP) (Environmental Protection Committee Meeting, November 9, 1990) Recommendations: 1. That the City of Port Coquitlam fully endorse the six packaging policies and milestone put forward by National Packaging Protocol (NAPP): Policy No. 1 All packaging shali have minimal effects on the environment. Policy No. 2 Priority will be given to the management of packaging through ‘resource reduction, reuse and recycling. oe ; Policy No. 3 A continuing campaign of information and education will be undertaken to make all Canadians aware of the function and environmentai impacts of packaging. Policy No. 4 These policies will apply to ail packaging used in Canada including imports. : Policy No. 5 Regulations will be implemented as necessary to achieve compliance with these policies.
