A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act
Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the
Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall on Monday, March 30th, 1987 at
7:30 pom.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, J.J.
Keryluk, G.R.e Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Engineer
F,E. Peters, City Treasurer J.G. Maitland, Deputy City Engineer/
Operations Manager T. M. Chong, Director of Community Planning W.A.
Brown, and Secretary S. Rauh.

ZONING PUBLIC HEARING:

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaw
would now be considered:

BL/01/87/03/30/01
Bylaw No. 2248:

To rezone Lot "A", District Lot 466, Group One, Plan 73819, New
Westminster District, from RS-1 (Single Family Residential) to RS<IA
(Single Family Residential).

The property is addressed as 3152 Oxford Street and would permit the
subdivision of the property into two lots.

Mr. Thomas Gremscheid, 2543 Patricia Avenue spoke fn favour of the

rezoning.

Byiaw No. 2249

To rezone Lot 72, Block E, District Lot 342, Group One, Plan 18044,
New Westminster District, from RS-1 (Single Family Dwelling) to RT-1 (Two
Family Residential).

The property is addressed as 1756 Pitt River Road and would permit a
two family deveiopment on the site.

The following people were present at the Zoning Public Hearing and
expressed their views on the proposed rezoning:

Mr. Don Gosselin, 1762 Pitt River Road spoke against the rezoning as
Pitt River Road is already a heavy traffic area and Cameron Street is
quite narrow.

. Ms. Lestie Sellers, 1732 Pirt River Road felt a duptex would
encourage transients who were not interested in keeping the property in

good upkeep and inquired Into the design of the building. The Director of
Community Planning answered that the owner was not required

to submit a building plan for rezoning.
