4 COUN MAR 3 {980 MEMORANDUM Mayor and Council February 29th, 1980. L.D. Pollock, City Administrator Attack Warning Siren The Federal Government have an attack warning siren located on a wooden pole near the junction of Victoria Drive and Coast Meridian Road. This unit has been located there since 1960 and has been covered by a memorandum of agreement between the City and the Government of Canada. The existing agreement expires in September of this year and the Government has asked for a five year extension of this arrangement. A copy of the memorandum of agreement is attached and if Council is in agreement we will sign the document and renew the agreement for another five years. Draft Resolution similar to resolutions passed in previous years is as follows; That the memorandum of Agreement between the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada wherein a licence is granted to Her Majesty to maintain Attack Warning Siren Number 84 on Coast Meridian Road at Victoria Street for a term of five years from the lst day of September 1980 be approved; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the said Agreement on behalf of the City and affix the Corporate Seal thereto. oe ee —_en ee we LD.
