Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee, February i5th, 1979 April 23rd to April 29th, 1979 be dedicated as Serior Citizen's Week. From the Leisure Activities Committee, February 15th, 1979 recommending that no action be taken on the Old Library until Council has made a LAC, Feb.15/79. re Old Library: decision on th: proposal made by the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee, February i5th, 1979 no action be taken on the Old Library until Council has made a decision on the proposal made by the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Mabbett gave a brief explanation of the Committee's recommendation. Discussion ensued. From the Leisure Activities Committee, February 15th, 1979 recommending LAC, Feb.15/79: that the City go out to tender for the lighting of the George Pearkes re Lighting- | George Pearkes; all-weather field and that an agreement be drawn up with the School field H Board which would include the minimum requirement of usage by the City. Moved by Alderman Mabbetr: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee, February 15th, 1979 the City go out to tender for the lighting of the George Pearkes all-weather field; AND THAT an agreement be drawn up with the School Board which would include the minimum requirement of usage by the City.
