Following a meeting with representatives of the Port Coquitlan ‘ ne oe Lions Club, the Parks and Recreation Committee submits the following recon~ oon mendation to Council. “that a Committee be struck to act as a sub-committee to the Parks and Recreation Committee to explore and make recommendations regarding the G feasibility of Phase II. This sub-committee will have representation . t from the following groups in the City of Port Coquitlam: Kinsmen Club ; . . Lions Club ae _ - Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association a Port Coquitlam Branch of the Elks Club . The sub-committee so appointed will accept input and feedback from all sectors of the community with respect to Phase II. By definition Phase II shall remain a complex of the top priorities of additional ice : os facilities and social and recreational areas to serve the City of Port Coquitlam." , Recommended Terms of Reference and Objectives for the Proposed Sub~committee ; 1. To select and recommend a site for Phase II. 2. To study and recommend the components of Phase II with respect to the requirements of the community. 3. ‘To consider the financial requirements and commitments. ; 4. To recommend on the period of amortization. - 3. To study and recommend an acceptable design. 6. To finalize plans and specifications sufficient for presentation to Council and the public aiming towards a referendum in late September, 1972.
