Dear Sir:

I am writing with regard to the lack of a sidewalk on Victoria Drive in Port Coquitlam and the
resulting danger to the safety of my son and many school chiidren attending Leigh Elementary
School. There is an absence of « sidewalk for approximately one block just west of Wedgewood
St. on the south side of Victoria Dr. The school children’s only option, if they want to cross
Victoria Dr. at the school crossing, is to walk on the road instead of on a sidewalk. Victoria Dr
is a very’ busy street. There is a gravel median but if is not beside the road; it is actually part of
the road. It isa very dangerous situation, especially since some drivers do not observe the 30
km. speed limit. -

I cannot overemphasize the danger of the situation. This metter deserves urgent attention before
it is too late and am accident occurs.
