SUBJECT: Replacement of Trucks No. 1101 & 1105 and Ride-on Mower 6024
Recommendation

1. That the City purchase two 1/2 ton pick-ups from Metro Motors at
a total cost of $28,096.

2. That the City purchase one ride-on mower from Ram Rentals at a
total cost of $10,376.

Background of Proposed Purchase of Equipment and Vehicles

Pickups No 1101 and 1105 are both 1981 models and are due for replacement this
year, out of the Parks Equipment Reserve.

Ride-on Mower #6924 was bought in 1985 and is due for replacement this year from
the Parks Equipment Reserve.

a) 1/2 Ton Pick-ups
Tender specifications were prepared by the City mechanic for two 1/2

ton extended cab pick-ups. Metro Motors was the iow bidder. They met
the various tender specifications, at a cost of $14,048 per pick-up.
