(1) The mayor may, at any time within one month after its adoption, return for reconsideration a bylaw, resolution or proceeding of council which has not had the assent of the electors, has not been reconsidered by the council under subsection (3) or has not been acted on by an officer, servant or agent of the municipality. (2) The mayor may state his objections to the council. The clerk shall record in the minute book the objections, suggestions or amendments of the mayor. (3) The council shall, as soon as convenient, consider the objections, and either reaffirm or reject the bylaw, resolution or proceeding, and if rejected, it is deemed to be repealed and is of no force or effect whatever. (4) The rejected bylaw, resolution or proceeding shall nat be reintroduced to council for 6 months, except with the unanimous consent of council. (5) The conditions which applied to the passage of the original bylaw, resolution Or proceeding apply to its rejection. RS1960-255-180; 1968-33-52.
