This is to request that City Council officially proclaim that May Day is

the official recognized yearly celebration.

Lee Kallen is investigating the possibility of incorporating a beer tent

in conjunction with May Day - This may not materialize, depending on how

the Committee feels toward such an event. In order to obtain a licence

for this the R.C.M.P. require assurance that this is an official celebration

of the City. I have discussed this with the R.C.M.P. and Inspector Young

has informed me that this action will not affect other organizations that
