Hawthorne Manor

and now the building of Hawthorne Lodge

Our volunteer Society members as well as others have spent their
tine, effort and funds in the development and management of these
facilities. The financial savings made by our volunteer efforts

If these volunteer services were replaced by paid government officials

the increased costs would be paid for by the Senior Citizens and
local taxpayers.

A. request for Senior governments to take over these facilities is

a. request for higher taxes, with perhaps less benefits than our
Senior Citizens now enjoy.

The assistance of elected officials and government employees at all

levels is herewith acknowledged. Without their assistance none of
the Society's projects would have been possible,
