Both should have grills to prevent unauthorized viewing. and more security. Cost - $66.00 The total cost for these items. comes to $1,686.00, and Council approval is sought for them. As all of these matters . refer to the internal security of the building, approval should be by resolution at committee or closed meetings. The next matter which I would ask that Council consider is that of providing for bicycle storage. Literally dozens of bicycles ; are being collected every month and there is a constant accumu- -Tation of between fifty and seventy-five bicycles kept on hand. ; They take up a great deal of space until they can be satisfactorily disposed of. Originally, there.was some planning in the architectural] concept of the buiting: which wotild have provided a storage area. On the other hand, after’ some consideration, it was felt that it would be unwics to spend $19.00 a square foot to provide for bicycle storage and thus, it is recommended that the sum of $5,000.00 be allocated to provide a compound to be constructed at the rear of the Justice Building. This would be a simple structure on cement slabs with a steel meshed fence around its .
