A lonely potter, tuwnety nine years of age, on Quadra Island, would
like to hear from a young woman, interested in pottery and country

We have received a letter, via the Canadian Crafts Council, from
Joanne Mabe in England who wishes to come to Canada to work as a
pottery instructor. She has had excellent training and has a diploma
in Art and Design from North Staffordshire Polytechnic,including two
years specialization in sculptural ceramics, also a Post Graduate
Certificate in Education from the Nottingham College of Education.
Since 1973 she has lectured in art and ceramics at West Bridgford.
College of Further Education in Nottingham and is in full charge of
the Pottery Studio. Has exhibited in Nottingham and London.During the
summer of 1974 worked as a production potter in Nacledra, Cornwall.In
August 1975 Miss Mabe lectured at a ceramic workshop at Hidden Valley,
Somerset, Pennsylvania, assisting Frank Roas. Joanne Mabe's address:
