Application for Water and Sewer Capital Works Grant
(Public Works Committee Meeting November 15, 1989

Recommendation:

That the 1990 Water and Sewer Capital Grant Application include the
following projects:

A. Sewerage Works

1. Install new mains in downtown area between $ 140,000
Kelly Avenue and Pitt River Road.

2. Install new main on Coast Meridian Road between € 71,000
Coquitlam and Westminster Avenues.

3. Install new main along Bypass between Coast Meridian $ 200,000
Road and Broadway Street.

Water Works

1. Install new main on Eastern Drive from Lamprey $ 443,000
Drive to Western Drive.

2. Install new main on Vincent Street between Prairie € 50,000
and Coquitlam Avenues.

Background and Comments:

Applications for the 1990 Water and Sewer Capital and Study Grants under
the Province's Revenue Sharing Act is due on November 30, 1989. Under this
program the Province will fund 25% of the approved capital projects.

The submission of this grant application will not necessarily commit
Council to the construction of these projects in 1990. ‘The suggested capital
projects in the recommendation will be included in the 1990 Preliminary Water
and Sewer Capital Budgets. Council will have the opportunity to assess the
merits of these projects during the upcoming budget discussions.
