Ag indicated to you in my letter of April Sth, 1988, we feel that all avenues of consultation have . been adequately explored in this matter. From R.A. Council's resolution objecting to the | concept of Supermailboxes as 4a Suitable alternative to door-to-door delivery clearly Speaks on behalf of the residents of Part Coquitlam. As Canada Post's deadline to receive Council's CO-Operation in the installation of supermailbaoxes has passed, we will not proceed at this time with our plans to improve mail service in your community. Existing levels of service will be maintained, that being green group mailboxes and General Delivery at the Port . Coquitlam Post Office. This dees not apply of course toa Supermailbox locations where we have been requested to place them on private property. Canada Post is committed to its Supermailbox initiative and Oo we will be proceeding with our gechedule to install Supermailboxes in communities where residents have indicated 4 keen interest in receiving this service improvement.
