There were two reported offences of rape during the month. Investigations revealed that one complaint was unfounded. An adult male is presently before the court for the other offence, On the 30 MAR 75 the Schoolhouse Market, 600 Schoolhouse Road, was a victim of an armed robbery. An adult male is charged with this offence, The most major occurrence during the month of March was the robbery of the Bank of Montreal, Marmont & Austin Road, on the 32 MAR This offence, committed by four males, resulted in a high speed chase through Coquitlam, Port Moody, ending in the Mary Hill area of Port Coquitiam. Two males in the vehicle being pursued escaped into heavy bush. An all night search resulted in the apprehension of these two persons shortly before 5:00 a.m. During the chase extensive gunfire was exchanged, result ce officers being wounded. During the month of March there were 86 residential and 18 business breaking and enterings committed. This is an increase from the previous month (February) when 67 residential and 15 business breaking and enterings were reported.
