COMMUNICATIONS Workshops Designed For Francophone Organizations Social Media: On November 14, as part of the annual meeting of presidents, representatives from Francophone associations were invited to attend a workshop on social media. Ms. Lucie Audet, presented the various Web 2.0 platforms (Facebook, Twitter, WIKIS, etc.) and its possible benefits to the Francophone community. Communication Plans: A community wide communication plan developed in 2010 will be presented at the 2011 General Assembly. Last February, the FFCB offered a workshop on effective communication practices, aimed at raising the importance of communicating and ensuring the Community's participation. The participants seized the opportunity to quantify their needs and their objectives. Mr. Pierre Claveau, Conseil scolaire francophone’s Director of Public Relations, attended the communications workshop. 15 Web 2.0 tools are new promotional platforms that are still underused by Francophone associations in the province. The workshop garnered interest among the groups. Several groups have developed a Facebook page or Twitter account following the presentation, particularly the FFCB (www.facebook.com /FederationFrancophoneCB).
