SUBJECT: Request for Fencing Along Property Frontage - 1240 Pits River Rd.
(Public Works Committee meeting of February 1, 1993)

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. That Council authorize the installation of six reflectorized posts for a distance of
10.5 metres 2'ong the asphalt portion at the front of the property at 1240 Pitt River

Road at an estimated cost of $400.

2. That $400 be allocated from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve Fund for
this purpose.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

The Public Works Committee at the February 1, 1993 Committee meeting considered the
attached memorandum «ated January 27, 1993 from the Project Technician regarding a request
from Mr. Noort of 1240 Pitt River Road to install a chain link fence along the frontage of his

property.
The Committee agreed with the recommendation to install reflectorized posts along the road

rather than install a fence.
