A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitiam was held in the Council Chamber, Port
Coquitiam City Hall on Monday, May 7th, 1984 at 7:30 pem.

His Worship Mayor L.M, Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D,
Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in
attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk
R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.
Maitland and Director of Commun ity Planning W. Brown,

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Miss Holly Van Straten,
Gold Meda! winner of the Bowling Provincial Finals, Junior Girts Single
Division and Silver Medal winner of the National Finals and presented:
her with. a tribute from the City of Port Coquitlam.

ZONING PUBLIC HEARING:

- His Worship Mayor L.M, Traboulay advised the following proposed
Bylaw to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No.
1651" would now be considered: os . :

To rezone Lot 187, District Lots 289 & 290, Group One, Plan 27008,
New Westminster District, from RS-1 to P-1.

This property is located at 2050 Mary Hil! Road and jis the location
of the now closed Mary Hill. Extended Care Hospital. It is expected
that an Achievement Centre offering work oriented skill develes:ant
classes and socializing opportunities through a drop in programme «. 1!
be established in the existing building following completion of the
rezoning procedures. -
