’ THE CORPORATIGN OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM ITEM IIT Re: Traffic Count on Chester at Shaughnessy As a result of an earlier discussion with Council in Committee about the problems of traffic exiting Chester to go south on Shaughnessy, Council asked for a report on traffic volumes on Chester. A traffic count has been done at the intersection of Chester and Shaughnessy. This count shows approximately 1890 vehicles entering Chester from Shaughnessy in a 24-hour period and approximately 200 vehicles leaving Chester to go northbound on Shaughnessy. Since a large percentage of the 200 vehicles per day leaving Chester to go northbound would continue to go northbound or eastbound, it is felt that the actual number of vehicles making a U-turn in Fraser Street or in the Church parking lot would be relatively low. ‘rhis is for your information. Respectfully submitted, FE. Peters, P. Eng., City Engineer.
