March 18th, 1974 lots, that the zoning fee be waived in this case. Moved by Alderman. Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committee, March 15th, 1974, the front 120' of property located at 1460 Victoria Drive be rezoned to RS-1 (One-Family Residential) to permit the construction of a dwelling thereon, and that the zoning fee be waived. Camied. Aldermen Laking and Keryluk voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, a discussion ensued and Alderman Laking referred to a reslution made earlier rejecting the re- zoning Sf property for residential construction in view of the fact that there are now some 324 building lots available in the City, and pointed out that approval of the application will add one more lot to that number. Alder- man Ranger stated that the previous request involved property in the area of Cedar Drive School where pupil accommodation is a problem while the lot pre- sently under consideration would be serviced by either George Pearkes School or Leigh School and that it was not the intention of the Committee to reject every single application; however, Alderman Laking commented that Leigh School is the most crowded of all.
