Jan Kidnic«, Administrator and Newsletter Editor In reply to our invitation to a meeting on October 16th of group members, we received a letter from Wendy Girard, President of the Prince George Potter’ Guild. Wendy writes that the availability of videos helps to make organizations such as theirs feel a part of the BC clay community. She also suggests that we consider producing and renting slides of exhibitions that rarely are on view outside the Yanowiver area. The Prince George Potters’ Guild had a show this summer, their first juried exhibitton in ten years and thelr second in the Prince George Art Gallery. “Choosing Clay" was on display last fajl. This year the Prince George group produced a mural to be installed in the Univeralty of Northern B.C.. now under construction. There was also sad news of the death of Caroline Kason, recipient of a Canada Council grant te study local materials. Thank you, Wendy. We were very glad to hear from you, and we expect and hope other groups will follow your example. Elsa Schama and June McDonald, Members, Board of Directors Page 2 October, |a2
