MEETING

The next meeting of the Potters Guild of British Columbia
will be held on Wednesday, May 16th, at Vandusen Gardens,
Vth and Oak Street, Vancouver, starting at 7 p.m.

Nur guest this month is Frances Fraser whose ‘one of a kind!
smal] porcelain forms were on exhibit at the Spring Gallery
in April. Five of her pieces were accepted at the 40th
Tuternational Competition of Artistic Ceramics in Faenza,

Italy, 1983.

This year two pieces are in the Oth Biennale Internationa
Ceramique d'Art, Vallauris, 'Tance.

At the meeting Frances will show slides of ner work, 43 well
as have some from Faenza. She will also show how she forms
her little boxes by pouring slip into a mould and taking us
through the different stages to completion. Recently

Frances has been using a novel way of smoking to fin
her pleces.

CONGRATULATIONS

Gongratulations and best wishes to Debra Sloan on the
oceasion of her marriage to Terry Yip. The ceremony took
place on April 28th.
