Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: Award of Consaltigg B meering Works Shan Sowet Re-construction - Stafford to Nacht (Public ittee Mexting of March 7, 1994) That the consulting engineering services for the design and construction inspection of the Shaughnessy Street road construction project between Stafford and Nacht be awarded to McElhanney Engineering Services Ltd. in the amount of $62,131 (including G.S.T.). That $62,131 be allocated from the Highway Facilities DCC Fund for this purpose. This project involves the survey design, tendering and construction supervision of the haughnessy Street construction from Stafford to Nacht, Shaughnessy Seret is to be constructed with a 14 metre wide roadway, sidewalks, Watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, hydro, power and streetlighting, The City received submissions from cight engineering consultants ranging in price from $51,495 to $89,880, The lowest bid of $51,495 from PBK ngineering did not include material testing (estimated to be $4,000 extra) and therefore the actual PBE. cost would be $55,494 compared to the cost from McElhanney Engineering Ltd. of $54,027, McElhanney Engineering is a reputable engineering consulting firrn and has completed work for the City of Port Coquitlam in the past.
