Re: Bill 9 - The Municipal Act-1983.

Last year, the GYRD Board requested. an endorsement of the
attached 10 recommendations.

On July 8, 1983 the Minister of Municipal Affairs introduced
Bill 9 - The Municipal Amendment. Act 1983 which would remove
entirely the regional planning responsibilities of regional
districts, © :

The GVRD Board requests that Council re-examine the 10
recommendations (attached) and convey our position +o the
Minister ‘of Municipal Affairs, to Mark Rose, our loca! MLA and
to the’ GVRD Board. Oe ces Cs, ‘ ;

| have attached’ a copy of the Bill and other materials from
GVRO.
