12. Section 279A of the Vancouver Charter is amended by adding the

following after subsection (1):
(1.1) This section is subject to a bylaw or order under, and Schedule A

of, the Holiday Shopping Regulation Act.

Commencement

13, (1) Sections 1 to 12 and Schedule A come into force on January 1,
1981, :
(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a counedl or regtonal board may,
before the coming into force of this Act, enact a bylaw under section 3
but that bylaw shall not come into force earlier than January 1, 1981.

SCHEDULE A

A retail business which sells or offers for sale only goods or services
in one of the following classes:

’

foodstuffs, antiques, newspapers, periodicals, handicrafts and
sundries in a total sales and display area open to the public
Gf less than 225 m2 and em loying no more than 4 persons to
serve the public in the retail establishment;

fresh Erults and vegetables;

hygienic, cosmetic, pharmaceutical or therapeutic goods and
sundries only during those hours when prescription drugs are
dispensed to the public;

mr eeey stock, flowers and horticultural and gardening sup~
piles; .

rental, servicing and repair of, and the sale or offering for
sale of fuel, lubricants and accessories for, motor vehicles,
boats and aircraft;

rental of goods and equipment for sports, recreation and use
about the home and garden;

prepared meals;

Living accommodation;

self-service laundries and other coin-operated services;

live and cinematic productions, G@loplays, exhibits and fachli-
ties for educationa ¢ eecreational, cultural oc amusement pure
pores and the sale or offering fer sale of goods and services
neidental to those purposes. ‘
