particularly appreciate and relate to
Eugene’s discussions with his
older brother Stanley. Both charac-
ters were well grounded and devel-
oped and very real. Stanley stole
the show with his very pro-

fessional acting and focused pre-

sentation.

Visually, the play was a delight!
Terrace has seen nothing as good
since "Heavens to Betsy". The set,
designed by Dave Battison, in
collaboration with the costumers
and lighting designers, pulled the
audience into the atmosphere of
the 1937 houschold.

Despite a few fumbled lines,
Brighton Beach is refreshing,
entertaining and a feat worthy of a
peek. See it this weekend (Thurs-
day, Friday and Saturday) at the
McColi Playhouse.
