Bibbi wins fifth

Bibbi - Dozzi_ came . through
with her fifth club championship

she shot a 36-hole score of 177 at
the Skeena Valley ladies golf”

club’s season-ending tourna-
ment.

Dozzi, who was 11 strokes
better than runnerup Gail
Johnson, previously won in
1981, 1982, 1984 and 1985,
Leona Wilcox was last year’s
champion.

The overall low net prize went
to Naseeb Marcil for a score of
135. She was presented with a
new trophy donated in honor of
the late Art Park. Park had been
the club’s pro-manager for
several years,

Johnson’s 188 won her low
gross for the championship

The municipal swimming pool
re-opens Sept, 28 after its annual
maintenance shutdown. Pro-
‘grams for the fall include Learn
to Swim, Livesaving, and a
variety of fitness courses.

Office in the Terrace Arena.
| Three and six-month passes
are available this year, and the
Parks and Recreational Depart-
ment recently announced that
fees will be increased this year
for the first time since
September 1985,

Terrace’s John Yasinchuk

shot a four-over-par 144 to win: ff

hament at Prince Rupert on the
Sept. 12 weekend.

Yasinchuk had rounds of 71
and 73 at the par-70 club for this
19th annual event.

Brian Roberts needed a
playoff with Ted Arney, Jr. for
overall low net. They tied a 129,
and Roberts won on the first

On the women’s side, Pam
Hays took low gross with a 173.
Low net went to Rose Marion
with a 142. There were 108
golfers competing.

Rupert’s final tournament of
the year. is the annual Tomb-
stone event on Sept. 27,
