Le Festival d’été francophone de Vancouver est heureux de souligner pour la seconde année consécutive la

journée nationale des autochtones en présentant une artiste franco-manitobaine aux origines Métis lors du

« National Aboriginal Day » présenté le 19 juin, a Canada Place.

The Festival dété francophone de Vancouver is very pleased to mark National Aboriginal Day, for the second consecutive

year, by presenting a Franco-Manitoban artist with Métis roots who will perform on June 19 at Canada Place.

Véritable touche-a-tout musicale, marijosée est une artiste talentueuse a lunivers explosif. Dans une ambiance
décontractée, elle transporte le public dans le monde de sa musique franco-pop accrocheuse, agrémentée
de percussions exotiques et caressée de jazz. Avec sa voix puissante et séduisante, elle teinte ses chansons
d’un humour sincére et colorié. Lors de ce qu'elle nomme sa crise existentielle de la trentaine, Marijosée révéle
son premier opus « Rebondir ». De2011a2013, elle présente son spectacle d’un océan a l'autre au Canada, ainsi
qu’en Europe et rafle les honneurs partout ot elle se présente. En 2014, elle revient sur le devant de la scéne
musicale avec son album « Pas tout cuit dans I'bec ». Ce nouvel opus est une invitation au sein de son univers
personnel, a la frontiére entre l’imaginaire et le journal intime. Aucun sujet néchappe au crayon taillé de cette
chansonniére charmante. Elle a été notamment récipiendaire du prix « Découverte de Quest par excellence »
au Gala des prix Trille Or en 2013, et du prix « Edith Butler » en 2014, remis par la Société professionnelle des
auteurs et des compositeurs du Québec (SPACQ), en tant qu’artiste sétant le le plus demarquée dans la francophonie
canadienne au cours de l'année. La Winnipégoise d’origine autochtone apportera une tonalité francophone lors de
cette journée de festivités.

With her relaxed presentation style and her powerful seductive voice, this talented and multi-faceted musician
transports her audience into a volatile musical realm. Her repertoire of catchy franco-pop songs is accented with
exotic percussion arrangements and soothing notes of jazz. Her lyrics are rich in sincerity, humour and colourful
imagery. When she hit what she calls the existential crisis of turning thirty, marijosée unveiled her first opus, entitled
“Rebondir’ From 2011 to 2013, she took her show across Canada from coast to coast, as well as to Europe, and
garnered praise wherever she performed. In 2014, she was once again at the forefront of the music scene with her
album “Pas tout cuit dans I’bec* This new work is an invitation into the heart of her private world, bordering between
imagination and a private journal. No topic is out of bounds for the scrutiny of this charming singer. She carried off
the prize “Western Canada Best New Artist’ at the Trille Or Gala in 2013, and in 2014, she won the “Edith Butler Prize”
at the Gala des mérites hosted by SPACQ (Société professionnelle des auteurs et des compositeurs du
Québec), as the artist who made the biggest mark on Canada’s Francophone music scene that year.
This Winnipegger with aboriginal roots will bring a Francophone voice to this day of celebration.
