Seconded by Councillor Gordon: That Council rescind the foilowing resolution passed at the regular Council meeting held on July 12, 1993: That the City Council grant approval to Bel Construction Ltd. to use the proposed temporary access road parallel to, and 250 ft north of Nacht Avenue, between Coquitlam Indian Reserve #2 and Mary Hill Road, shown as access route #3 in the City Engineers report, June 24, 1993, attached to the Council agenda. That the City Council grant approval to the Coquitlam Indian Band to improve the approach onto Mary Hill Road from the existing access road from the south east comer of the Coquitlam Indian Reserve shown as access road #6 in Plan No. | attached to Council Agenda and dated Febmary 2, 1994. That as a condition of approval the Coquitlam Indian Band undertake a commitment to pursue all means available to obtain an access to Pitt River Road shown as access route #1 on Plan No. I attached to Council Agenda and dated February 2, 1994. That the Coquitlam Indian Band enter into an agreement with the City of Port Coquitlam to provide fire protection on the Coquitlam Indian Reserve. That the plans for improving the existing access from route #6 onto Mary Hill Road be constructed in accordance to plans approved by the City Engineering Department. That the Coquitlam Indian Band meet the City’s requirement for public liability insurance and Highway Use Permit. Defeated. Councillors Gordon, Keryluk, and Thompson voted in favour of the resolution.
