A copy of this report is enclosed for your information. “This matter was considered by the City’s “Traffic Committee which consists of two aldermen, the NCO in charge of the local R.C.M.P. Traffic Division, the City's Bylaw Enforcement. Officer and myself. The Committee considered the facts in this matter and. adopted the recommendations contained in the attached report. ‘By way of this” letter, I am following the Committee's instruction to. “forward a request to you and the. School Board to consider the provision of a sui table pick-up and drop-off area within the school. ‘property. AS additional information, | the Committee also considered the suggestions submitted by some parents to implement "NO. U-Turn, Local Traffic Only and No Drop-off or Pick-up" restrictions on. Salisbury. Avenue. The Committee did not support these suggestions due to the impracticality and difficulty. of enforcing these restrictions. The creation of a pick-up/drop-off area within the Flint road ‘allowance. was considered at the same time. This proposal was also rejected ‘because of the elevation difference between the road boulevard and the school > property. Based on the site conditions it would appear that improvements to the existing | road on school property to enable the proper dropping-off and “picking-up of students would be a | better solution. ae
