Re; Land Exchange ~- Canadian Legion, Pitt River Road

Council has previously agreed to some Jand consolidation and
land exchanges with the Canadian Legion. The necessary by-iaw plans
and consolidatior plans have been prepared and the attached sketch
shows the final layout which will create two large lots fronting on
Pitt River Road.

In this transaction the City will acquire certain land from
the Legion in exchange for portions of road ete., and the Legion wili
be dedicating a strip of land along Patt River Road for road widening.
The transaction results in the City receiving more land from the Legion
than the Legion is accepting from the City and Council had previously
agreed that this land would be purchased from the Legion at the rate of
$2.69 per foot. Based on the attached plans the net land areca is
7,541 sq. ft. and the amount to b: paid to the Legion would therefore
be $20,285.00.

The Legion has reviewed the plans and are in agreement and if
Council also agrees a resolution accepting the layout and approving
the purchase in the amount of $20,285.00 is required.
