A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitiam, B.C. on November 20th, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Planning Officer L. Lee, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Special Presentation: Alderman Laking introduced Michelle Fripps, Lynn Fripps, Sherry Synchronized Swimming Awards Hensel, Hayley Broker and Karen Graham, members of the Port Coquitlam ~ 1978 B.C. Summer Games Synchronized Swim Club and their coaches Tara Franks and Joanne Mostrenko and presented them with a scroll in recognition of their achievements in winning a gold medal in synchronized swimming at the 1978 British Columbia Summer Games. Karen Graham and Hayley Broker also won a gold medal in the Duet and Karen Graham won a silver medal in the Novice Figures Competition. Dev. ~ 1545 deposits have been made and all other requirements fulfilled with respect Lougheed Hwy. to the motel and restaurant development at 1545 Lougheed Highway and that it is now ready to proceed.
