TO THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL:

As information, I have enclosed a copy of what
HLRA believes are the economic issues in the dispute between
the Association and the Hospital Employees Union.

You may have seen the enclosure as an advertise-
ment in the public press. Our belief was that while we had
every concern that the important public health functions of
our hospitals were being attended to, there were, and still
are, economic issues that must be faced. As peoole involved

- directly in the administration of this province, I am sure
‘you are aware of this, and that our enclosure is succinct,
economic fact.

‘We are hopeful that this letter and attachment
can be included in an early council agenda and that the
results of your deliberations will be quickly passed on to
the Provincial Cabinet.
