THAT City Council adopt a resolution issuing a development variance permit to Pcl 2, D.L. 380, NWLD Plan 76533 relaxing the requirements of the Sign Bylaw No. 2095 to permit sign area to be calculated as the area containing text. Stacey's Furniture have requested that sign area for their development be calculated as the amount of text being displayed excluding border area. The City has used this approach for two existing projects in the past. In the past projects, the owner's have given the City a letter of undertaking to regulate tenant Signage, so that it will not be an enforcement problem for the City.
