Re: Vancouver Sun Substations

The Committee considered a letter from the Vancouver Sun.asking

for permission to locate one of their Newspaper Substations on property

owned by the City at 3253 Sefton Street (see map and letter attached).

These Substations are small portable buildings and the Sun
presently have this particular building located near the 7-11 Store on
the East side of Coast Meridian Road, however, they have been asked to
move it to a new location. They have enclosed a suggested Ground Rental
Agreement wherein they offer the sum of $90.00 per quarter and the
Agreement states that ‘they will be responsible for keeping the building
in good repair and well painted and the site will be kept free of
garbage.

The Conmittee has given the matter consideration and recommends

that the request be granted and that the Rental Agreement be entered into.
