Mayor Scott and Aldermen Meyer and Traboulay voted against the resolution.

Alderman Thompson introduced a By-law to authorize The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam to lease certain property to the District of

Coquitlam.

Moved by Alderman Thompson:

Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That By-law No. 1280 be read a first time. _ Carried.
Aldermen Meyer and Traboulay voted against the resolution.

Prior to first reading of the By-law being approved, Alderman Ranger
stated he felt the agreement was premature and ke proposed the following
motion:

“Seconded by Alderman Traboulay:

That By-law No. 1280 be tabled until more input is received,
; a Defeated.
Aldermen Ranger and Traboulay voted in favour of the resolution.

“Alderman Laking then stated he felt that the By-law and agreement
should be approved, but that the term of the lease should be less than
29 years, and he proposed the following amendment:

That the words and figures ‘Twenty (20)" be deleted from Section -1

of By-law No. 1280 and from Section E of Schedule A attached thereto, and

that the vords and figures “Five (5)" be inserted in their place. Defeated.

Aldermen Laking and Meyer voted in favour of the resolution.
