BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: | a The speed limit on Kingsway is currently 60 k.p.h. from Tyner all the way to the Mary Hil! Bypass. As one portion of Kingsway is quite wide and the other portion is sparsely developed the 60 k.m. speed limit is quite reasonable. However, tnere have been complaints from properties along the wider section of Kingsway that the speed of vehicles is too fast and that there is some difficulty in emerging from the driveways. Tnis difficulty is partiy a visibility problem because of parking along Kingsway. This visidility problem, however, {S$ no worse than on any other city street which has parking. lt is felt that a speed limit reduction might reduce the average speed of vehicles on this section of Kingsway and make it easier for people to leave the driveways. For this speed change to have any beneficial effact, the R.C.M.P would have to spend additional time patrolling the traffic. Wye The remainder of Kingsway need not have a reduced speed limit because there are very few driveways and those that do exist on the north side have unlimited visibility. We F.E.
