SUBJECT: Closure of lane east of Mary Hill Road
between Pitt River Road and Rindall ~-
Public Works Committee, October 20, 1981

RECOMMENDATION:

That the south end of the lane east of Mary Hill Road
between Pitt River Koad and Rindall Avenue be closed to traffic,

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

t the request of Mr. and Mrs. Ranger of 2136 Mary Hill
Road, the Public Works Committee looked at the problem of traffic
in the lane caused mainly by people shortcutting the traffic light
at the intersection of Mary Hill Road and Pitt River Road. A
traffic count indicated a total of 129 vehicles ina 24-hour period.
This is not a large amount of traffic but.is considerably more than
would be expected from the number of homes having access to the
lane.
