Mayor and Council, fh City of Port Coquitlam, y 2 2272 McAllister St., Port Coquitlam, B.c,. MAR 2 1981 Dear Mayor:& Aldermen: The Port Coquitjam Senior Citizens Housing Society is coming to another crossroad. The demand is far surpassing supply causing long delays before we can house eligible Citizens of our community. We are contemplating the construction of a 50 ~ 60 unit self contained complex between Hawthorne Manor and’ Hawthorne Lodge. This complex would probably be a three storey building. To properly accomodate this building more land will be required. We therefore request the lot legally described as: REM Lot 106 DL 289 Gp. 1 Plan 37752 nwp and shown outlined red on the attached sketch be transferred to the Society for the nominal $1.00 as the Other jots 107, 109, and 110 have over the years, ‘Having this location would consolidate our management and main-~ tenance problems. : At the Present time the Society is providing self contained housing for 66 Persons plus the 166 that are being care for in Hawthorne Lodge, for a total of 232 tenants and guests.
