/2, July 14th, 1975 school accommodation in the area and the increased number of apartments being allowed to be constructed in what was once a single family area. A number of residents of the area were in attendance and Mr. Alan Wheatley of #38 - 3046 Coast Meridian Road expressed concern regarding the fencing of the area as well as the location of the buildings in relation to those in the Woodside Estates development, i.e. would they not be blocking the natural sunlight etc. because of their higher elevation. In answer to Mr. Wheatley's first question the City Planner advised that he had received confirmation from the Developer that the entire North boundary of the property would be fenced and Alderman Thompson indicated that the question of elevations had been discussed at length, complete with drawings and overlays, at a previous meeting. Mr. Peter Dart of Woodside Estates inquired if there would be on-site playground facilities and was assured by the City Planner that such an area had been included in the design plans. Mr. Dart further expressed concern over the designation of ‘subsidized housing' and indicated that although he had been aware they were to be rental units, the type of rental units had not been made clear. Alderman Thompson stated that it was his understanding that the government was only trying to put reasonable rental housing on the market. Mr. Richard Wenham of 1359 Larkspur Drive stated that he felt that the density was far too high for inclusion in what he said had been a single family area, because of the existing 52 townhouses, the G.V.R.D. development to the north of the townhouses proposed to include é
