SUBJECT: Removal of Loading Zone on Chester -
Works and Services Committee - October 2nd, 1984

RECOMMENDATION:

That the 15-minute loading zone now existing on the west
side of Chester Street north of Coquit!am Avenue be removed and that
this area be signed with a four hour maximum parking zone.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The loading zone on Chester has existed since before the
current building was developed. There is now no access to the
building from Chester Street and the loading zone is totally:
meaningless. The owner has been contacted and has no objections to
removal of the zone.

The surrounding streets have a four hour parking limit and
it would be convenient from:-the enforcement point of view if this
street was signed in a similar way. :
