Re: Sign By-law

In January of this year, the Building and Protection Committee was
asked by Council to review the Sign By-law as a result of an application
from Salty's Fish and Chips to install a freestanding sign on their
premises.

The attached By-law has been prepared by the Committee and incorporates
conversion to Metric and some changes regarding provisions for freestanding
signs. In actual fact, the changes are minor but with the numerous
clauses that had to be revised to incorporate Metric measurements it was
easier to redo the whole By-law rather than prepare an amendment to the

original.

The Committee will explain the changes to Council Monday evening.
